The worlds largest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp just launched an updated version of its entry-level ADV in India, XPulse 200 4V. With more than 10 ADVs manufactured and sold in India, Hero XPulse is one of the most affordable motorcycles to choose from with segment-first features and a more refined engine than before. Hero XPulse 200 is a lightweight multi-purpose bike made for everyday rides as well as for some adventures. The bike comes with dual-purpose tyres, larger wheels, high ground clearance, and easy seat access for on or off roads.
Hero has installed long 190 mm travel suspensions at the front, up-swept exhaust, aluminium bash plate, and 10-step adjustable mono shock at the rear. The bike is an adventure tourer that comes with smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, full new LED headlamps, and larger disc brakes with ABS. to make the bike look more attractive, Hero offers optional rally kits with its XPulse 200.
On the other hand, we have XPulse 4V, another new member in the brands portfolio. The bike has a relaxed, stress-free performance with reduced vibrations for a superior riding experience. XPulse 200 4V is made for normal roads and rough outdoors that can overcome every terrain. Apart from the above-mentioned features, 200 4V comes with a toothed brake pedal for better control and grip.
The Hero XPulse 200 used to be available in five colours - white, matte green, matte grey, sports red, and panther black whereas XPulse 200 4V is available with new dual-tone colour schemes - blue and white, blue and black, and red and black.
The updated model comes with new body-coloured mirrors and is styled to thrill with contemporary dual-tone split graphics. Another noticeable feature is its headlamps- the bike now has 21% brighter LED headlamps than before. Rest all features are the same. XPulse 200 4V offers Rally Kits that ramp up the off-road capabilities approved by the Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI).

XPulse is powered by a 199.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with a 4-valve setup that is now capable of delivering 19.1 PS of maximum power which was 18.08 PS and 17.35 Nm of peak torque which was 16.45 Nm. Hero just introduced the 2021 XPulse 200 4v, earlier the bike was only available with a 2-valve setup.

With an update in its engine, XPulse now offers a 4-valve setup which has helped in increasing power and torque figures by 6% and 5% respectively. Whereas XPulse 200 carries the same engine specifications except 4V it was 2V that was capable of producing 18.08 PS of maximum power and 16.45 Nm of peak torque.

XPulse is a bigger ADV from before. It has the healthiest proportions in its segment. Except for a few minor changes, Hero is offering XPulse 200 4V with the same dimension that of the XPulse 200. XPulse being a 200cc motorcycle will never let you feel left away from anyone and would in fact lead at places where others would just think of going.

Now comes the matter of concern, the pricing. Hero XPulse 200 with 2-valve setup was priced at Rs 1,23,150 (ex-showroom, Delhi) whereas the just launched updated XPulse 200 4V is priced at Rs 1,28,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi). With the introduction of a 4-valve setup, the Hero XPulse has even noticed a change in power and torque figures. Along with this, Hero also tweaked its headlamp unit and has made its seating a bit more comfortable than before. Also, the XPulse 200 4V is available with new colour schemes.
