Hero Xpulse 421: What To Expect?
As of now, Hero has not shared any crucial information about the Xpulse 421, but there are a few things we can expect. For example, the sketches themselves reveal a more modern design language with a sharper approach, similar to what we've seen on certain bigger-capacity adventure motorcycles. The headlight is likely to feature a sharp, H-shaped DRL.
In terms of equipment, the sketches shown in a certain video during the programme gave us a few things worth noticing. The UI of the instrument cluster bore similarities to the unit we have seen on the Vida V1 electric scooter. However, this is likely to change, and the production-spec motorcycle will come equipped with a different TFT cluster.
The clay model shown in the video featured spoke alloy rims, and we can expect alloy rims to be available as an option on the production-spec model. The wheel setup is likely going to be a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear, while in terms of suspension, we can expect USD forks and a monoshock with some degree of adjustability.
It is possible that Hero might alter the tune of the Mavrick's 440cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. As of now, the Mavrick's 440cc engine produces 27bhp at 6000rpm and 36Nm of torque at 4000rpm. We can expect the Xpulse 421 to match the competition, such as the KTM 390 Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himayalan in terms of output figures, and it will also come with a 6-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.
We can expect Hero MotoCorp to start rolling out teasers sometime next year, with a debut also expected either in late 2025 or early 2026.
