Honda Amaze Price
The introductory starting price of the all-new Honda Amaze is Rs 7.99 lakh for the manual variant. The CVT base variant costs Rs 9.19 lakh. Talking about the top model, the ZX, it costs Rs 9.69 lakh for the manual gearbox and Rs 10.89 lakh for the CVT. This variant comes with ADAS Level 2, making it the most affordable car with this safety technology.
Honda Amaze Exterior
The shape of the 3rd-gen Amaze is similar to the 2nd-gen, but the front end is directly inspired by the larger Honda Elevate. Whether it's the shape of the dual-barrel LED headlights, the bold alpha signature grille, or the thick chrome strip, all these design elements are visible on the larger Elevate.
However, the inner grille pattern is different, featuring a honeycomb design with large gaps, through which the radiator is clearly visible. The only difference here is the design of the fog lamp area; the plastic surrounding the fog lamp is different and appears more stylish.
Talking about the side profile, the R15 machined finish alloy wheels are similar to those seen on the 5th generation facelift Honda City. The side mirrors are also similar. Other elements, such as the door panel and overall aesthetics, are similar to the previous Amaze.
Now, onto the rear, where the LED tail-lights are directly taken from the City. The bumper also features reflectors and sensors. Lastly, Honda Amaze is available in 6 colours.
Honda Amaze Interior
Here too, Honda has done bare minimum to give Amaze a distinctive style, as the overall dashboard layout is 95% similar to Honda Elevate. Here the main attraction remains, the 8 Inch touchscreen which supports wireless android auto and apple car play. Down ac vents and automatic ac controls are similar to Elevate.
However, there is one difference: the single slate that connects the left AC vent to the main AC vents features a unique design pattern in between, which Honda calls the "crafted air mesh decoration," a design element we've seen in international Honda cars. Below this design, you'll notice a chrome strip that extends all the way to the AC controls. Additionally, Honda has provided a wireless charging pad, a 12V power outlet, two USB sockets, and two cup holders.
At the rear, there are AC vents and another 12V charging socket, along with 416L of boot space. The shoulder room and hip room in the rear have been improved by increasing the width of the Amaze.
Honda Amaze Engine
The 1.2L i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine continues to power the new-gen Honda Amaze, producing 90 PS and 110 Nm of torque. It is available with a 5-speed manual or CVT transmission, offering a mileage of 19.46 kmpl with the CVT and 18.65 kmpl with the 5-speed manual.

Verdict
The Honda Amaze is here, and after 6 years, a new generation of this best-selling Honda car has arrived. The Amaze is known for its spacious interiors, refined engine, and ease of driving. This vehicle has always given the Maruti Dzire a tough competition, which also launched a new generation just last month. It will be interesting to see how these two cars perform against each other, but Honda offering ADAS in its entry-level car is a game changer. Let's see if it puts Honda back on the pedestal.
