Honda CB350 BABT Bike - Details
As seen in the short teaser video, the new BABT is the brand tag for the new CB350 model. It is a new variant most probably which will get cosmetic changes. The teaser video shows that the front telescopic forks will get the silver finish, Nissin brake calipers, & a split seat setup with silver highlight. While the design is likely to remain as same as the standard bike, the small cosmetic changes will make it look different overall. Perhaps, the appeal of a bobber & cafe racer mix will attract young buyers. Meanwhile, the definition of the BABT is still unknown but we think it'll become more relevant once the bike is launched.
Powering this new variant will be the same tried & tested 348.36cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine as the standard variant. It generates a peak power of 21 PS & a peak torque of 30 Nm which is mated via a 5-speed transmission. Moreover, it'll get all the bells & whistles like the HSTC, USB phone charging port, LED lights, & slipper assist clutch. The dual-channel ABS will also be offered as standard on it. The primary rivals of the new CB350 BABT will be the Jawa 42, Yezdi Roadster, & Royal Enfield Classic 350.
Verdict
The new BABT CB350 model will refresh the neo-retro bike appeal among the buyers. A different aesthetic appeal with new colours shall help find it more buyers. As far as the pricing is concerned, we anticipate that it'll be more or less the same as the CB350 itself. Only a couple of thousands can vary on the sticker price. Expect its debut in the coming days in India.
