Launched early this year, the Hyundai Creta became an instant success for the Korean carmaker. The brand has now updated the car's line-up and has introduced the Hyundai Creta E Petrol base model. This model has been priced at Rs 9.82 lakh and has become the cheapest model of the Creta on sale in the Indian market. With the launch of the Creta E Petrol, the pricing of the Hyundai Creta now starts from Rs 9.82 for the base E model and goes all the way to Rs 17.32 lakh for the range-topping model. In addition to this, the new price tag of the Creta EX stands at Rs 10.61 lakh, which is now Rs 10.61 lakh. Apart from the EX model, all other variants of the Creta are now expensive by Rs 12000. With this being said, the Creta gets three engine options - a 1.5-L NA petrol engine, 1.5-L CRDi diesel engine, and a 1.4-L turbo petrol engine.

The Hyundai Creta E petrol base model comes with features such as a cooled glovebox, projector headlights, dual front airbags, ABS, EBD, keyless entry, and other features such as electrically adjustable ORVMs and all four power windows. In short, the Hyundai Creta E gets all the necessary features that we expect from a car of this segment. However, it is worth noting that the buyers of the Creta E base model will be missing out on several features and equipment such as steering mounted controls, music system, automatic climate control, alloy wheels, etc.
The Hyundai Creta competes against cars like the Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks, Renault Duster, Tata Harrier, and the MG Hector. It is also worth noting that the Creta has been one of the highest-selling vehicles in the Hyundai's line-up, and with the launch of the base E model, it now becomes a lot more affordable for the buyers who are on a tight budget.
