Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has launched its anticipated Creta EV at Rs. 17.99 lakhs (ex-showroom). The brand has launched the Creta EV in two battery pack options. The new Creta EV bookings are open nationwide and the deliveries. It shares the design and features with the ICE variant but gets some EV-specific changes. Hyundai Creta EV Exterior & Interior
The Hyundai Creta EV has a similar design to the ICE variant; however, it has some EV-specific changes, such as a closed-off front grille, active air flaps for better airflow and aerodynamics, 17-inch aero alloy wheels, and a new bumper for the front and rear. The brand has also added a new colour option for the EV variant.
On the inside, the Creta EV gets a new three-spoke steering wheel, a new center console with modes, cup holders, and an electric parking brake. The features of the Creta EV are similar to those of the ICE version.
This includes a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and more. Moreover, the EV gets a stalk-type drive mode selector (gear shifter) behind the steering wheel.
To make the EV more convenient and user-friendly, the brand has offered a Vehicle-2-Load (V2L) feature, which allows customers to power other small appliances from the EV.
Hyundai Creta EV Powertrain Options
The Creta EV is available in two powertrain options, a 42 kWh battery pack with 133 bhp of power and 390 km of claimed range. The bigger battery pack option is the 51.4 kWh option with 168 bhp of power and a claimed range of 473 km on a single charge.
A 50kW DC charger can charge the EV from 10-80% in 58 minutes and an 11 kW AC wall box charger can charge it from 10-100% in 4 hours. Additionally, the Creta EV can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 7.9 seconds.

Hyundai has finally entered the mass-market EV segment with the launch of the Creta EV and it was one the most anticipated launch of 2025. With the popularity of the Creta brand name, the Creta EV is expected to get good sales number.
