Hyundai Exter:
On July 10th, 2023, Hyundai introduced the Exter model in India with a grand launch. The starting price was set at INR 5,99,900 (ex-showroom). 75% of the total bookings were for the variants equipped with a sunroof, showing a strong preference for this feature.
One-third of the bookings were made for the Automatic version. This specific version boasts an industry-first feature: an AMT with paddle shifters, enhancing the driving experience.

Hyundai Exter: Powertrain And Rivals
The Exter shares its 1.2-litre petrol engine (83hp, 114Nm) with its hatchback and sedan counterparts. It can be paired with a 5-speed manual or AMT, except for the base trim. A CNG option (69hp, 95.2Nm) is available in manual, offered on S and SX trims. Competitors include Tata Punch, Citroen C3, and Maruti Suzuki Ignis in the sub-compact SUV category.
