Hyundai Santro is the entry-level hatchback from the Korean marque and has been garnering good sales. CNG models are popular in small cars and Hyundai Santro is offered with two CNG variants too. However, to make the CNG trims more appealing and customer-centric, Hyundai has replaced the older trims with new trims along with added features. Hyundai will now offer the Santro with Magna Executive and Sportz Executive trims.
Hyundai has planned to make the CNG variants attract a different set of buyers. The new Magna Executive trim comes bare bones and it will be priced lower to attract the cab aggregators and for commercial users. On the other hand, the Sportz Executive trim will come with better features when compared to the model it replaces, resulting in more interest of conventional car buyers.

Talking about the features, the Magna Executive will not get a 2-din music system, steering mounted controls, speakers and roof antenna. It will be priced more attractively and see a cut of these features. Moreover, the Sportz Executive trim, despite being priced lower than older top trim, will gain a 6.75-inch touchscreen system with navigation, turn indicators on side mirrors, electrically adjustable ORVMs and day/night IRVM.

Hyundai is yet to reveal the prices of the Magna Executive and Sportz Executive trims. The official website has the older Magna and Sportz CNG trims listed for Rs 5.86 lakh and Rs 5.99 lakh respectively. Powering the Hyundai Santro is a sole 1.1-litre MPI 4-cyl petrol engine which churns out 68bhp and 99 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox. The CNG trims of the Santro produce 59bhp and 85 Nm of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox only. Hyundai is expected to price the new variants of the Santro CNG lower than the current variants. Current Hyundai Santro range starts from Rs 4.57 lakh and goes to Rs 6.25 lakh ex-showroom, New Delhi.
