Hyundai was late to join the party of compact SUVs but it turned out to be a success as bookings for the Venue crosses 1 lakh mark. Hyundai Venue rivals Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Ford Ecosport and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
Launched in May 2019, Hyundai Venue garnered over 1 lakh bookings and the sales for the same have been doing well on a monthly basis. The carmaker has also started exporting the Venue globally and just recently shipped 1400 units to South Africa.
Being the first connected car in its segment, the BlueLink technology is the main attraction among buyers. Reports suggest that the top trim SX with DCT and SX(O) are in top demand with the buyers. The BlueLink technology offers several features such as Remote Start/Stop, Horn and Light Control, Doors Lock and Unlock, providing Real-Time Traffic Information, Destination Link in with Schedule, Climate Control and several others.

Hyundai Venue comes in three engine options - two petrol and one diesel engine. Talking about the 1.2-litre, naturally aspirated petrol motor then it produces 82 bhp with a peak torque of 115 Nm. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Next in line is the 1.4L oil burner which generates 89 bhp on tap along with 220 Nm of maximum torque. It gets a 6-speed MT. The most powerful of the lot, the 1.0L turbo petrol engine makes a whopping 120 bhp and 172Nm of torque. It gets a 6-speed MT and an option of 7-speed DCT.

Hyundai Venue comes with loaded features like a large 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also gets an electric sunroof, wireless charging, air purifier and more.
Starting at a price tag of Rs 6.5 lakh, Hyundai Venue is the most affordable compact SUV right now. Recently, in December it also crossed 50,000 sales figures in just six months of its launch. It also beat the popular Maruti Brezza in sales but only for a short while.
