Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has updated the price of the MY2023 Venue. Hyundai's sub-4 metre SUV is now up to Rs 25,000 more expensive than it was before. The Venue is now available for as low as Rs 7.68 lakh (ex-showroom) and as much as Rs 13.11 lakh (ex-showroom). The brand has changed its diesel powertrain's specifications and added some new safety features as standard fitment in several models.

2023 Hyundai Venue - Updates
The Venue's diesel engine has seen the most significant upgrade from Hyundai. The Venue diesel now generates the same amount of horsepower and torque as the Creta diesel. The 1.5-liter diesel engine in the Venue now produces 116 bhp instead of 100 bhp and 250 Nm instead of 240 Nm of torque. There is just a 6-speed manual transmission available for the Venue diesel. The petrol engine of the SUV is the same unit but now updated for the upcoming RDE norms and E20 fuel ready.
In terms of feature upgrades, the automaker has now included four airbags (Driver, Passenger, and Side) as standard safety equipment in the S (O), SX, and SX (O) models. The SX(O) trim of the diesel powertrain is now the only one that offers the reclining rear seats, rear-seat armrest, and cup holder that were formerly available in the SX trim. All other elements of the vehicle have remained the same aside from these modifications.

2023 Hyundai Venue Pricing - Old vs New
Hyundai has increased the prices of the sub-4 metre SUV by up to Rs 25,000. The price hike has been given to the petrol engine options only. The brand has not made any changes to the prices of the diesel powertrain. The price of the petrol variant now ranges from Rs 7.68 lakh to Rs 13.11 lakh (ex-showroom).

The price of the diesel variants remain same and ranges from Rs 10.15 lakh to Rs 12.66 lakh (ex-showroom).

Verdict: The brand has improved the feature offering with the new price increase. However, even after upgrading the specifications, the firm has maintained the diesel variants' prices at a similar level. The diesel variants sell well, and with revised specs, they are now more competitively priced and comparable to the specs of the Kia Sonet diesel.
