New-Gen Jeep Compass
The upcoming generation of the Compass will be built on Stellantis' STLA-M platform which does the duties on other Stellantis SUVs such as the Peugeot and Vauxhall Grandland. The STLA-M platform can accommodate different powertrain options including mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and even an EV powertrain. We can anticipate that the brand might be using this platform to expand the powertrain options for the upcoming generation which can help get more customers.
The new generation will also boast design changes on the exterior and interior. The Compass will hold the American silhouette with new styling elements such as a more upright stance similar to the Grand Cherokee. The Compass will boast a boxy design language with more straight lines on the side. We can also anticipate new designs for the alloy wheels. The overall design will be more boxy and upright as compared to the current generation model and it will continue to come with the 5-seater layout.
On the inside, the SUV will boast new technological advancements with a new widescreen i-Cockpit similar to the Peugeot and a 16-inch widescreen setup like the Vauxhall Grandland. With the new additions, the SUV will continue to get Jeep-like styling with some Easter Eggs as well.
For the variants, Jeep could launch the new Compass with a Trail-rated rugged variant with off-road centric elements with off-road tyres, better approach, and departure angle among other off-road centric details. Another could be a standard variant with road-centric elements such as a more luxurious cabin, road-biased tyres, and more.
