The Japanese market will also have 4WD versions available for the Suzuki Swift.
Indian Variant Engine Details
The Swift set to launch in India in the second half of 2024 will feature the same Z12E engine, although specific power outputs and fuel-efficiency figures are yet to be disclosed. A mild hybrid option is anticipated at launch, with the possibility of an AMT transmission and a 5-speed manual gearbox, but without the CVT gearbox available in the Japanese variant. The India-bound Swift is expected to remain FWD only.
The updated Maruti Swift has been spotted testing already under heavy camo. While it continues its test runs, you can expect it to launch in the first half of next year.
