Skoda Enyaq EV Facelift Teased Ahead Of Golbal Debut
Following the release of a design sketch showcasing the rear quarter, Skoda has provided another teaser, this time offering a glimpse of the Skoda Enyaq facelift's front end. The updated SUV will adopt Skoda's new "Modern Solid" design language, first seen on the Elroq EV. Similarities to the smaller SUV are already visible, even with the partial cover. As anticipated, the Enyaq facelift incorporates numerous elements of the Modern Solid aesthetic, including the overall silhouette, wheel design, and now, the front fascia. Key features include low-set headlights and a prominent LED daytime running light strip spanning the width of the front, a hallmark of this new design direction.
Inside, the updated Enyaq is expected to receive subtle revisions, potentially including new upholstery and other minor updates, while retaining some design elements from the previous model. Reports suggest that the Skoda Enyaq facelift will offer a range of powertrain options with varying battery pack sizes depending on the specific variant.

Range And Battery Details
Earlier spy shots indicated that the Enyaq being tested was a higher variant which utilises a 77kWh battery providing a WLTP-certified range of up to 513km. However, the facelift version could introduce an even bigger battery pack with a claimed tange of up to 600 km on a single charge.
Given the impending global update, Skoda India will most likely directly introduce the Enyaq facelift when it eventually launches in the Indian market towards mid-2025.
Verdict
Skoda with its first ever EV in India, would want to make a lasting impact in the bugeoning electric vehicle segment of out country. Buyers are now more open to get an EV than ever before, and the reasons are many. However, an EV as a priamary and the only vehicle is still not something that has been solved. Can a higher range could finally make that happen? More importantly, is Skoda the one to do that for India? While it doesn't look like that anytime soon, it could possibly open up new avenues for the future, if it's priced just right!
