Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast is planning to enter the Indian market in the coming years. The brand has already started the construction of its factory in India. Recently, the brand has unveiled and started taking bookings for its smallest SUV the VF 3 in its home country. In just 66 hours the VF 3 has received over 27,000 bookings. VinFast VF 3 - Dimensions And Features
The VF 3 is a mini electric SUV with a two-door four-seater configuration. The EV follows a minimalist design approach. Dimensionwise it measures 3,190 mm in length, 1,679 mm in width, and 1,622 mm in height. The EV boasts a wheelbase of 2,075 mm and a ground clearance of 191 mm. This mini electric SUV also comes with an option of up to 16-inch alloy wheels. The VF 3 comes with foldable rear seats which can expand the cargo space to 285 litres.
Regarding the features, it boasts vibrant colour options on the inside, touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, LED lighting, and a two-spoke steering wheel.

VinFast VF 3 - Powertrain
The VF 3 will get an 18.64 kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 210 km on a single charge. It comes with a 32 kW motor which delivers 110 Nm of peak torque. The EV can sprint from 0-50 km/h in 5.3 seconds. The EV will come with a rear-wheel drive (RWD) drivetrain. Moreover, it will boast fast charging as well, it can be charged from 10% to 70% in 36 minutes.
Verdict
VinFast has already started the construction of its facility in India. The brand is aiming to enter the Indian market with two EVs, among which one will be the VF 5 crossover. The VF 3 is priced at VND 322 million with battery, or roughly Rs 10.5 lakh. If the brand introduces the VF 3 to India at a price below Rs 10 lakh, it will revolutionize the small EV market. VinFast has already patented the VF 3 in India.
