Volvo Car India rolls out India's first locally assembled luxury electric SUV, XC40 Recharge from its Hoskote plant in Bengaluru. This electric SUV was launched on July 26 at Rs 55.90 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The Swedish company recorded online bookings of 150 cars in total.
Design-wise, the XC40 Recharge resembles a lot like its ICE sibling except for some differences like the front grille layout, alloy wheels, badging and more.
Powering the Volvo XC40 Recharge is a 78 kWh battery pack and a dual-electric motor. It belts out 402 bhp of power with a peak torque of 660 Nm. This SUV offers a certified driving range of 418 km and gets an AWD set-up. This SUV offers a boot space of 419 litres.

This electric SUV supports fast charging and with the help of a massive 150 kW DC Fast charger, 0 to 100% charge can be charged in just 40 minutes. With the help of an 11kW AC charger, the XC40 Recharge can be charged in a time span of 8 to 10 hours.
Feature-wise, the XC40 Recharge is equipped with a large touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, push-button start/stop, power folding ORVMs, panoramic sunroof, LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights and more.
Safety features on this electric SUV include front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, seven airbags, tyre-pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX child seat mounts, hill hold control, electronic stability control, traction control, hill descent control, 360-degree camera and more.
