TVS Motor Company has recently teased the new TVS Star City Plus on its official website and social media handles. The TVS Star City Plus is a very popular commuter motorcycle from the house of TVS. Now, the company has teased the image with the caption 'We've got a surprise for you, Stay Tuned.' So, what the surprise can be? Will it be the TVS Star City Plus 125?
Now, if we have a look at TVS' current portfolio, so the company sells a lot of BS6 compliant motorcycles and scooters. The two-wheelers range from affordable scooters to high-end sports motorcycles. However, if we look at the company's commuter portfolio, TVS sells only three commuter bikes and all of them are 110cc ones. While the rivals like Hero MotoCorp and Honda have great 125cc offerings, TVS doesn't offer a 125cc motorcycle as of now. So, we believe TVS might finally launch a 125cc motorcycle in India.

We don't exactly know what will be the engine specs of the upcoming TVS Star City Plus 125. But, we believe it might produce around 11 PS of power and 10 Nm of peak torque. The engine should come mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The suspension duties on the motorcycle will be most likely performed by telescopic front forks and it will get dual spring-loaded shock absorbers at the rear. For braking duties, it will be getting a drum unit at the rear and the option of a drum or a disc at the front with CBS.

Before we end our article, please do note that these are our assumptions that TVS is going to launch a 125cc motorcycle and nothing is officially confirmed. It might be possible that TVS is planning to launch a special edition model of the existing TVS Star City Plus 110 with some cosmetic tweaks.
