Bajaj Chetak 3503; Details
The Bajaj Chetak 3503 retains the same design as the other existing Chetak variants in the lineup. However, a closer look will reveal some interesting details. This particular test mule receives standard plastic black mirrors, along with a black border around the headlight. It also get black plastic treatment on the inner front apron, with regular cubbyholes instead of a lockable glovebox.
You will also notice that the 3503 uses a different set of alloy rims that appears more conventional and basic. Interestingly, this test mule also uses a drum brake setup for both ends, while retaining the single-sided spring setup at the front.

The 3503 will also miss out on the TFT screen setup of the higher-spec variant, and it is more likely to continue with the basic LCD screen setup from the Chetak 2903, which will not receive smartphone connectivity and other bits like navigation and music streaming. The keyless fob setup will also likely make way for a physical key.
The 3503 will carry over the 3.5kWh battery pack from the other 35 Series Chetaks. However, we can expect it to differ in terms of range, charging times, and performance. While the launch timeline remains unspecified, we can expect Bajaj to roll out official teasers sometime soon.
Verdict
The Chetak 3503 could well be the thing that helps Bajaj penetrate into a much more affordable pool of buyers, given its basic hardware and features. It could be an option for someone wanting a proven name in the segment with minimal fuss.
