Jeep is all set to increase the price of their most selling SUV, Compass, from March 31. This revision in prices will be taken into effect after unveiling its upcoming 7-seater SUV, Meridian on March 29. We belive that the prices of their recently unveiled Trailhawk too will see a marginal hike over the current cost of Rs 30.72 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
Sharing more details about the Compass then the facelifted version was introduced last year and since then it has been gaining popularity because of the striking looks, features and the modern cabin design.
Feature-wise, Jeep Compass now gets a larger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a huge panoramic sunroof, cruise control, digital instrument cluster, powered tailgate, ventilated front seats and among others.

Mechanically, Jeep Compass gets a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbocharged diesel engine. This unit generates as much as 168 bhp of power on tap with a maximum torque of 350 Nm. It is further mated to a 6-speed manual transmission as standard and also gets an optional 9-speed AT unit
The Compass also gets a 1.4-litre, turbocharged petrol motor. This one generates 161 bhp of power with a maximum torque of 250 Nm. A 6-speed stick shift is offered as standard and it also gets an optional 7-speed DCT. The petrol motor isn't offered with 4x4 as an option! This feature is reserved for the oil burner only.
