The all-new Jeep Avenger has finally been unveiled to the European press. This is Jeep's first-ever battery-electric vehicle (BEV). It is also the first front-wheel drive Jeep vehicle ever. According to the brand, the Avenger perfectly embodies Jeep's brand DNA and offers a unique combination of capability, style, functionality, and technology to the customers. Moreover, the all-new Jeep Avenger comes loaded with many advanced features like Selec-Terrain, Hill Descent Control, & Automated Driving tech (ADAS). Although for now, the Jeep Avenger is targeted at the European markets, we expect Jeep to launch it in India too, sometime in the future. With Avenger, The Electrification Of The Jeep Brand Begins
The European unveiling of the all-new fully electric Jeep Avenger marks the beginning of the electrification journey of the Jeep brand. As the brand Jeep joins the EV wave, it is expected to bring four fully-electric vehicles by 2025. Moreover, according to Stellantis (the parent company of the Jeep brand), by the end of 2030, the Jeep brands European sales will be 100% pure electric. This is how Jeep will support Stellantis net-zero carbon goals.
Jeep Avenger: Loved & Recognized By The World
First revealed at the 2022 Paris Motor Show, the all-new fully electric Jeep Avenger has already attracted media recognition by being named Car of the Year 2023 and Best Family SUV in the 2023 Womens World Car of the Year (WWCOTY) awards among others. Moreover, around 20,000 units have already been sold since the opening of orders for the 1st Edition on Dec 1, 2022, and then the full lineup on Jan 11th, 2023. This shows the overwhelming love & interest that the Jeep Avenger has received from customers.
Jeep Avenger: Powertrain, Battery & Charging Specs
The new Jeep Avenger gets a highly efficient 400-Volt e-motor producing 115 kiloWatt (corresponding to 156 horsepower) of power and 260 Nm of maximum torque. It comes with a 54 kWh Lithium-Ion battery pack which offers a claimed range of up to 400 km WLTP and up to 550 km in city driving. Its fast-charging capability makes you get your daily dose of energy, 30 kilometers, in just 3 minutes. The standard onboard charger can deliver 100 kW in DC, taking the Avenger from 20% to 80% in just 24 minutes (when connected to DC fast-charging points). It can also deliver 11 kW in AC, taking the Avenger from 0% to 100% in just 5.5 hours (when connected to AC charging points).

The all-new fully electric Jeep Avenger comes loaded with a huge list of comfort, convenience, connectivity, & entertainment features. The list includes a 10.25-inch Uconnect Infotainment touchscreen, a fully digital instrument cluster available in two variants (7 & 10.25 inches), a 180-degree rear camera with top drone view, automatic parking, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, customizable UI (up to 5 pages, up to 12 widgets per page), embedded navigation powered by TomTom, enhanced natural voice recognition, over-the-air updates, Uconnect Services, Jeep mobile app, connected car tech, hands-free electric tailgate, leather-covered power-adjustable seats with massage function, multi-colored ambient lighting, panoramic sunroof, full LED headlights & taillights, 360-degree parking sensors, etc.
The new Jeep Avenger is also extremely capable with features like Hill Descent Control, Selec-Terrain, 200mm ground clearance, 20 degrees of approach angle, and 32 degrees of departure angle. On the safety front, it comes with level 2 autonomous driving tech & ADAS features like Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring, Autonomous Emergency Braking with Vulnerable Road Users (pedestrian and cyclist) protection, etc.
Verdict: The all-new fully electric Jeep Avenger is a giant leap for the brand Jeep. As Jeep officially joins the EV revolution & the BEV wave, it is expected to bring 3 more BEVs by 2025, and we expect at least one of the 3 to be a 4WD/4x4 or AWD-capable Jeep.
