The Kia Carens was revealed in December 2021, with the bookings officially opened in the last month and many showrooms receiving the vehicle for display ahead of the launch. Kia is manufacturing the Carens in-house in its manufacturing facility situated at Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. The 'Made in India' Kia Carens would proudly be exported to over 80 countries.

Being an MPV, the Carens will be offered in 6 and 7 seater configurations with a total of 5 well-equipped variants to choose from. All these variants share their powertrain from the Kia Seltos, thus catering for the needs of a broad segment of users. Fuel efficiency, calm and composed drive, the peppiness, or an enthusiast behind the wheel, ask Kia about Your composure, and they have that Carens for You! Despite being an MPV, it does not give the cabbie feel as in some vehicles of these segments. Equipped with many first in segment attributes, the Kia Carens is a decent package with a unique stance on the road.
With multiple powertrains and first in segment features on offer, the Kia Carens is likely to take over the likings of Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, XL6 and Mahindra Marazzo. We expect the Carens to bridge the price gap and fall between the Maruti Suzuki MPV twins and its cousin, the Hyundai Alcazar.
