The Kia EV6 will soon make its Indian debut in May 2022 and will be Kia's first electric car in the country. Expected to be offered as a CBU unit, the Kia EV6 will carry a premium price tag and will be followed by the launch of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 in India. Having said this, here are all the details of this new Kia electric crossover in India that you should know including price, features, specs, and more.
The Kia EV6 will be launched in the country in the first half of May 2022 and will be initially brought into the country via the CBU (Completely Built Unit) route. This will also cause a major difference in the price of the EV6 when compared to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 which is expected to be launched at a starting price of Rs 35-40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base variant. The Kia EV6 price on the other hand is expected to start from somewhere around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). In the year 2023, the Korean carmaker might locally assemble the EV6 by bringing in the car via the CKD (Completely Knocked Down) route. This will further help it price aggressively in the already competitive market.

While the EV6 will make its debut in May 2022, the deliveries will only start near the festive season. Having said this, the EV6 is expected to be offered with a dual e-AWD setup and will boast a range of around 77.4 kWh battery pack. The power and torque output is expected to stand somewhere in the range of 320 bhp and 605 Nm respectively. The claimed range of the car is expected to stand at 425 km (approx).
A number of other electric Kia cars are also expected to be launched in the Indian market in the coming few years. Having said this, the Kia EV6 will be the most expensive Kia car in the brand's Indian portfolio. The brand is also expected to launch the Kia Seltos facelift in the coming months.
