Kia recently revealed its upcoming seven-seater MPV Carens before its launch. The company is planning to launch the car by March 2022 and has also commenced with the bookings of the car. The MPV will be available in six and seater choices.

Kia has introduced this Carens that shares the platform with another South Korean MPV Alcazar. To have a better idea about the size of the car let's take a closer look at the dimensions of the car. Kia Carens measures 4540 mm in length, 1800 mm in width, 1700 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2780 mm. The MPV is capable of conquering all sorts of terrains with a ground clearance of 195 mm. Kia Carens ground clearance is 30 mm more than the known Toyota Innova.
Kia, just like Hyundai, is ready to introduce best-in-segment and segment-first features with its upcoming Carens that might become an advantage for the company. Kia has revealed the list of features Carens will offer, so it's time to give it a glance. The car will feature ventilated front seats, electronic one-touch second row, roof-mounted second and third row AC vents, cupholders with cooling, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with AndroidAuto and Apple CarPlay, eight-speaker bose surround sound system, and connected car-tech with remote operation.
Along with this list of features, Kia also offers a digital cockpit, air purifier, ambient lighting, front and rear parking sensors, LED projector headlamps and LED taillights, electronic sunroof, powered ORVMs, wireless charging, all-wheel disc brakes, tyre pressure monitoring system, downhill brake control, hill hold assist, vehicle stability control, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, and six airbags as standard.

The upcoming Kia Carens will be available with three engine choices 1.5-litre petrol engine that is capable of producing 115bhp of maximum power and 144 Nm of peak torque. 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine that is capable of churning out 140bhp of maximum power and 242 Nm of peak torque and the 1.5-litre diesel engine that is capable of producing 115bhp of maximum power and 250 Nm of peak torque. The MPV will come mated to a manual and automatic gearbox as an option.
The upcoming MPV will compete against the likes of Maruti Suzuki XL6, entry-level trim of Innova, and Mahindra Marazzo. There is a possibility that the entry of Carens in the market will also impact the sales of Tata Harrier, Tata Safari and MG Hector Plus.
