Every month carmakers bring in new offers to lure the customers and the latest entrant for January 2021 discount scheme is the Skoda. The Czech Republic carmaker is offering offers worth Rs 1 Lakh for some of its models and we will share everything about it.

Skoda Rapid
One of the most affordable C-Segment sedans, Rapid is available with a single, three-cylinder BS6 compliant turbo petrol engine. This 1.0L unit is mated to a 6-speed manual as standard and a 6-speed torque converter as an optional gearbox. This engine churns out 110 PS of power with a peak torque of 175 Nm.

For the base Rapid Rider Plus variant, Skoda is not offering any discount, however, as we move towards the higher variant, there is a significant offer. The Style variant is offered with discount worth Rs 80,000 which is broken into Rs 40,000 as the dealer benefits, Rs 25,000 as an exchange bonus and another Rs 15,000 as corporate one.
The prices of Skoda Rapid starts from Rs 7.79 lakh and the top model fetches till Rs 13.29 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The sedan rivals with the likes of Toyota Yaris, new Honda City, Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Verna and Volkswagen Vento.
Skoda Karoq
This CBU unit shares the same platform as the Volkswagen T-Roc but is priced a little higher. It gets a sticker price of Rs 24.99 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The January 2021 offer for the Karoq sticks to Rs 1 lakh which is further broken down into Rs 30,000 as corporate, Rs 35,000 as exchange bonus and another Rs 35,000 in loyalty points. The latter is earned if you are a Skoda customer.

The Karoq features a 1.5-litre turbocharged, four-cylinder, BS6 compliant motor which generates 150 PS of power at 5000 RPM with a peak torque of 250 Nm at 1500 RPM. The official ARAI certified mileage sticks to 14.49 kmpl and this engine is mated to a 7-speed DSG.
In other news, Skoda also launched the updated Superb with new features on-board and the prices for the same starts from Rs 31.99 lakh and go up till Rs 34.99 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. It features a 2.0L turbo petrol unit churning 190 PS of power with 320 Nm of peak torque and as expected, this same motor will be seen on the upcoming Kodiaq too.
