Of course, they are nothing when compared with the 2019 sales chart but at least, it is picking the pace. Mahindra Alturas : Rs 3.05 lakh off
The only SUV which hits the highest discount is the flagship of Mahindra, Alturas G4. Mahindra is offering discounts up to Rs 3.05 lakh which includes a straight away Rs 2.40 lakh and another Rs 50,000 as an exchange bonus. The corporate discount on this one sticks marginally low at Rs 15,000 but who's looking for that when they are getting Rs 2.40 lakh cash discount.
Mahindra Alturas competes with rivals like Ford Endeavour and Toyota Fortuner. Despite being an SUV which provides an ultra-luxurious cabin, it has failed to impress the Indian market. It houses a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel which makes 178 bhp with 420 Nm of peak torque.

Jeep Compass: Rs 1 lakh off
This one rivals Volkswagen T-Roc, Hyundai Tucson and some trims of the Tata Harrier. Jeep is offering discounts worth up to Rs 1 lakh on this one. All combined, this comes to Rs 40K cash discount (dealer based), Rs 30,000 as exchange bonus, Rs 15,000 corporate discount and they are offering discounts on the insurance schemes too.
Jeep Compass is the cheapest 4X4 SUV in the market right now which comes with a plethora of features. It is powered by a 2.0L diesel along with a 1.4L turbo petrol engine.
Honda City: Rs 1.6 lakh off
With the 2020 City launching tomorrow, Honda is giving huge discounts on the old-gen City. Honda is offering up to Rs 1.60 lakh of discount on City for some models.

While the official discounts on the Honda City have been limited to Rs 1.60 lakh, we have found a dealer which is offering discounts up to Rs 1.84 lakh. Now, that's an additional Rs 24,000 benefits. If you are getting the fourth-gen City then it is available in the 1.5L petrol engine only which makes as much as 118 bhp of power. You can have it in a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.

Honda Civic: Rs 1.5 lakh off
Honda is quite generous for its sedans and Civic is another one from the list. The Japanese carmaker is offering a static Rs 1 lakh discount on the Civic Petrol and Rs 1.5 lakh cash discount on the diesel one. Yes, even the newly launched BS6 diesel has an official offer.
Honda also brought in a diesel-powered City just a few days back which uses a 1.6L engine and comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It competes with Hyundai Elantra and with the oil burner, Honda plans to increase the number of sales for the Civic.
Volkswagen Vento: Rs 1.95 lakh off
The Vento comes at a discount of as high as Rs 1.95 lakh for some variants. Since the company has dissolved the 1.5L diesel engine which added to more sales, Volkswagen Vento now only comes with a 1.0L turbo petrol engine.

This one makes as much as 110 bhp with 175 Nm of peak torque and the engine is mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter gearbox. Either way, the sales have been falling that's why Volkswagen is giving out huge discounts.
