Dimensions
Maruti Brezza | Mahindra XUV 3XO
Length | 3995 mm | 3990 mm |
Breadth | 1790 mm | 1821 mm |
Height | 1685 mm | 1647 mm |
Wheelbase | 2500 mm | 2600 mm |
In terms of strict numeric data, both Mahindra XUV 3XO and Maruti Brezza have an even-handed competition. While the Brezza is longer and taller, the XUV 3XO takes the lead in width and wheelbase. To put it simply, the dimensions are more or less in the same league, with visible differences noticeable only when you put them side by side.
Features: The Clear Winner!
Talking about features, since the Mahindra XUV 3XO is a recent launch, it has been updated to modern standards. It gets all the bling like a fully digital instrument cluster, ADAS, dual-zone climate control, wireless charger, ventilated seats, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, Adrenox support, panoramic sunroof Harman Kardon speaker system, remote AC control, and much more.
The Maruti Brezza, retailing for quite some time now, is a little behind the Mahindra rival in terms of features. However, it comes with a good enough and practical set of features including a heads-up display, wireless charging, single-pane electric sunroof, 360-degree camera, and more.
Don't get it wrong. Maruti Brezza is a pretty tech-loaded SUV, but the XUV 3XO takes the lead here with a few neat features like the dual-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, ADAS, fully digital instrument cluster, and more.

Powertrain: Diesel Or CNG?
The latest XUV 3XO presents a choice between two turbo petrol engines: a 1.2-liter variant producing 110 bhp and 200 Nm torque, available with either a 6-speed manual or AMT, achieving claimed mileages of 18.89 kmpl and 17.96 kmpl respectively. The alternative is a 1.2-liter TGDi turbo engine generating 130 bhp and 230 Nm, coupled with a 6-speed MT or Aisin-sourced 6-speed torque converter, boasting efficiencies of 20.1 kmpl with MT and 18.2 kmpl with AT. For those looking for a diesel alternative, it offers a 1.5-liter diesel engine with 115 bhp and 300 Nm torque, paired with a 6-speed manual or AMT, delivering claimed mileages of 20.6 kmpl and 21.2 kmpl respectively with AutoShift+ gearbox.
Brezza on the other hand does not offer a diesel engine. However, it counters that omission through a petrol+CNG powertrain. It comes with a 1.5 litre K-Series petrol engine that puts out 103 PS power with a peak torque of 137 Nm. However, when the CNG mode kicks in, the performance drops to 86 PS power with a peak torque of 121.5 Nm. This trade-off in punch is balanced by a bump in fuel efficiency. It claims a fuel efficiency of 19.80 kmpl in petrol mode whereas 25.51 km/kg in CNG mode.

Maruti Brezza vs XUV 3XO: Pricing
Maruti Brezza | Mahindra XUV 3XO
Price Range | Rs. 8.34 lakhs- Rs. 13.98 lakhs | Rs. 7.49 lakhs- Rs. 15.49 lakhs |
In terms of pricing, the XUV 3XO gets you a more affordable entry into the Sub 4-meter SUV segment at Rs. 7.49 lakhs. However, the top-spec model of the 3XO is almost Rs. 1.5 lakhs expensive, but you do get plenty of high-end features, like almost making it comparable to the Brezza rate list.
Verdict
While the tussle for the top spot is fierce, Maihndra XUV 3XO takes the lead with its more advanced feature list as well as more powertrain options to choose from. While you get 3 engine options with the 3XO including both petrol and diesel mills, Brezza offers a petrol or Petrol+CNG only. However, Brezza with its time tested mechanics and fairly decent feature list remains practical and charges accordingly. It solely comes down to what you want from the SUV, and rest assured, you cannot go wrong with any one of them.
