The Marazzo is a popular MUV from the Indian carmaker Mahindra and soon the BS6 version of this will be launched in 2020. The luxury MUV is a premium option over the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and also competes with the likes of popular Toyota Innova Crysta.
Mahindra Marazzo is offered in four trims - M2, M4, M6 and M8. All the trims are available with both seven and eight-seater. According to the reports, manufacturer is likely to ditch the top-spec variant, M8, from its lineup once the BS6 is launched. What's new is that the variants will start from M2 and will see new variants like M4+ and M6+ with the latter being the top-spec trim.
Mahindra Marazzo BS6 will continue to use the upgraded version of the current 1.5L diesel engine. What's interesting is that it will put out the same power as before, 123 bhp on tap with a peak torque of 300 Nm. It will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The availability of an automatic gearbox is expected later this year.

Talking about the expected M6+ top-spec trim then it is likely to borrow some features from the current M8. The MUV gets a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display offering Android Auto, faux-leather upholstery, multi-function steering wheel, LED Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), 17-inches alloy wheels and among others.
Another reason why we believe that the M8 trim of the Mahindra Marazzo might be discontinued is because of the high cash discounts of Rs 1.38 lakh. If you are looking for a budget 7-8 seater MUV for a family with uber loads of feature and a powerful engine then you might consider this option. The price of Marazzo starts at Rs 10 lakh and the top model fetches up to Rs 14.76 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

With the new emission norms kicking in from April 1, 2020, the prices of its competitor will rise. Toyota Innova Crysta which is widely sold in its diesel engine will receive a massive price hike once the BS6 oil burner is launched. And the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will see the discontinuation of the diesel engine from its line-up. Post-April 1, 2020, the Ertiga will be sold in petrol trims only.
