Mahindra Thar 5-door has been photographed multiple times which is currently undergoing rigorous testing. The biggest launch that people anticipate taking place in 2023 will be the upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-Door. We have previously covered the Thar 5-Door spy stories. Now, a 3D render-based walkthrough of the outside of the forthcoming Thar has appeared online. The credit of the renders goes to Meet Bagrawala, who created these designs.

Upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-Door Render
The forthcoming 5-door Thar will have the same design aesthetic as the existing 3-door Thar, as seen in the rendering. The 5-door variant will have a large wheelbase and two back doors, therefore the dimensions will undoubtedly alter. The 5-Door version, meanwhile, appears to have many of the same basic components. The design of the LED taillight, bumper, and quarter glass is also comparable. The alloy wheel design, however, might be a little different. It must be done to set it out from the typical Thar.

If we talk about the interior, the interior is expected to get a seven seat version with a bench in the middle row and two jump seat in the last row. We can also expect a six seater variant with two captain seats in the middle row and two jump seats in the last row or a bench. Meanwhile, the dashboard, steering wheel, & other features are likely to remain unchanged.
Upcoming Mahindra Thar 5-Door Engine
It's likely that engine specifications won't change. For the 5-Door Thar, 2.0-liter petrol and 2.2-liter m-Hawk diesel engine options will be offered. Both of these engine combinations will come with a variety of manual and automatic transmission options. A full 4X4 option will also be offered, however standard versions might only have an RWD.

Verdict: Despite comprehensive testing suggesting that Mahindra could launch the Thar 5-door in the first or second half of 2023, the company has been mum on the subject. However, the 5-Door Thar's rivals are also visible during testing and could make their debut at the same time.
