Mahindra XUV 3XO AX5 Variant Walkaround
The mid-tier AX5 variant of the XUV 3XO adopts LED projector headlights and integrated LED daytime running lights (DRLs) with LED turn indicators. However, the AX5 distinguishes itself from the higher-spec AX7 and AX7 L trims by omitting front fog lamps. Overall, it looks quite appealing but will evoke mixed emotions at first, if you have been a fan of the outgoing XUV300.
The side profile will remind you of the XUV300 as the dimensions and the form factor remain the same. The 16-inch alloy wheels look nice and the roof rails add a touch of sportiness along with an aesthetic attraction.
The rear profile is a completely redesigned affair with c-shaped LED tail lamps connected through an LED bar running along the tailgate. On top of this, you also get a rear wiper and washer. The bumper gets a reflector and a silver-finished skid plate.
Interior And Features
The XUV 3XO's AX5 variant features a dual-tone black and white dashboard, akin to other higher-spec versions, but distinguishes itself from the lower variants with a newly designed dual-zone climate control panel, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and gear knob. Notably, it introduces the 10.25-inch digital drivers display. Equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, AdrenoX-connected technology, and a 6-speaker sound system. The AX5 variant also includes conveniences like push-button engine start/stop, rain-sensing wipers, rear AC vents, and a single-pane sunroof.
Safety features include six airbags, rear parking sensors, ESC, and all-wheel disc brakes, with the addition of a rearview camera and tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) that makes its debut with the AX5 variant. Notably, if you want the segment-first panoramic sunroof, you will have to shell out more and upgrade to the AX7 variants.
