Mahindra & Mahindra Automotive is all set to launch the facelift of the XUV300 in the coming weeks. The facelift is dubbed the XUV 3XO, it is scheduled to be launched on 29 April, and the brand has already teased a few details of the upcoming SUV. Mahindra XUV 3XO - What We Know So Far
New Exterior Design
The upcoming 3XO will get an updated front and rear design. The front of the SUV will boast a new headlamp assembly with a split LED headlamp unit, including a projector headlamp and foglamps. The front fascia will be adorned by a new L-shaped LED DRL giving it a more appealing stance. The front bumper will also get some changes. The side profile will get diamond-cut alloy wheels with an updated design. At the rear, it will get a connected LED light bar and C-shaped tail lamps enhancing the rear look.
Interior
The interior of the SUV will also receive major upgrades, making it more feature-loaded and premium. It is expected to get new seat upholstery to enhance the cabin ambiance. The dashboard will also receive some changes which will be in line with the new XUV400. The rear row will get all three headrests and an armrest.
Feature Loaded With Some Segment First Features
The upcoming XUV 3XO will boast a 10.25-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment unit, a new HVAC control panel, dual-zone climate control, and a new digital instrument cluster among other features. The XUV 3XO will also get a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, making it the segment's first SUV to get a panoramic sunroof. Not only this the 3XO is also expected to get Level 2 ADAS features, enhancing its safety. It is also expected to get a 360-degree camera.

3-Engine Options To Cater Different Needs
The engine options on the upcoming XUV 3XO will remain the same as the current XUV 300. It will continue to get a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, this engine with 110 bhp of power and 200 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed AMT unit. It also gets a 1.2-litre Stallion TGDi engine with 230 Nm of torque.
The other engine option is the 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 117 bhp of power and 300 Nm of peak torque. This engine also comes with an option for manual and automatic transmission.
Verdict
The upcoming Mahindra XUV 3XO will be a major upgrade over the current XUV 300. The SUV will boast some segment first features which will give it some edge over its primary rivals such as Hyundai Venue, KIA Sonet, Tata Nexon and other sub-4 metre SUVs. Mahindra is known for pricing its cars competitively and if the XUV 3XO is priced competitively will all the new features it will be a tough rival in its segment.
