1. Design: A Complete Overhaul
The Mahindra XUV 3XO is the facelift for the XUV300 and it does just that and that too, quite radically. It sheds its past appearance for a new design philosophy inspired by the upcoming BE vehicles. It now gets a sharper profile with an updated headlamp unit with C-shaped DRLs and revised bumpers. The side profile now adorns the new 17-inch alloys whereas the rear is a complete visual disconnect from the previous generation with C-shaped tail lamps with a connected light bar.
2. First In Segment Panoramic Sunroof And More New Features!
Say goodbye to the old single-pane sunroof! The new Mahindra 3XO now comes equipped with a massive panoramic sunroof, a first in the segment. This is the first time a sub-4 meter SUV is offering this feature. While this makes the cabin feel more roomy and bright, it is a big-time people-pleaser. Indian masses love to have a sunroof, and what better if it gets this big?
3. Mahindra XUV 3XO: Finally Gets ADAS!
Every new update at least above the hatchback segment is now offered with a few very obvious upgrades. One is the connected light bar at the rear and the other happens to be the ADAS suit. The 3XO now comes with ADAS with a camera-based sensor housed just behind the IRVM at the windshield. It is the first in the segment to offer Level 2 ADAS with features like forward collision mitigation, smart pilot assist, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control among other features.
4. More Feature Additions
The revamped interior boasts a segment-leading 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a matching digital instrument cluster, a new climate control panel with remote operation, dual-zone climate control, the segment's largest panoramic sunroof, and premium touches like a 7-speaker Harman Kardon sound system with subwoofer and ventilated seats, and much more. It addresses the aging interior of the XUV300 with a package that will remain relevant even as time progresses.

5. Powertrain: The Usual Affair
The new XUV 3XO offers two turbo petrol engine options: a 1.2-liter producing 110 bhp and 200 Nm, paired with a 6-speed manual or AMT, achieving claimed mileage of 18.89 kmpl with MT and 17.96 kmpl with AT. The second option is a 1.2-liter TGDi turbo engine generating 130 bhp and 230 Nm, mated to a 6-speed MT or Aisin-sourced 6-speed torque converter, with efficiencies of 20.1 kmpl with MT and 18.2 kmpl with AT. Additionally, there's a 1.5-liter diesel engine with 115 bhp and 300 Nm, matched with a 6-speed manual or AMT, delivering claimed mileages of 20.6 kmpl with MT and 21.2 kmpl with AutoShift+ gearbox.
Verdict
There you have it. The new 3XO is a big time update over the XUV300 both in terms of design as well as the tech on board. The looks had no issues, but the restyling adds a breath of fresh air. Mehcanics are retained, whereas the tech list gets its very necessary update. It is now poised to be a tough rival in the space with its legacy of satisfying performace and the sizeable upgrades inside the cabin.
