Mahindra has launched the much-awaited facelift of the XUV 300 in a new avatar and with a new name. The Mahindra XUV 3XO is the new facelift of the XUV 300 and it comes with a major overhaul as compared to its pre-facelift version. The XUV 3XO has been launched with a starting price of Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and it goes up to Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Mahindra XUV 3XO Vs XUV 300 - Exterior
The exterior of the Mahindra XUV 3XO has an updated front profile which makes it look bolder. It gets five chrome slats on the front grille now and C-shaped LED DRLs as compared to the L shape in the XUV 300. The facelift now comes with a bi-projector headlamp setup with a new headlamp assembly. The bumper now gets bigger air dams and the lower part gets a silver skid plate.
The side profile has been updated with a new design for the alloy wheels, which are now 17 inches in size compared to the previous 16-inch wheels in the pre-facelift version. At the rear, it now gets a connected LED light bar and a C-shaped tail lamp. The rear bumper has also received changes.
Mahindra XUV 3XO Vs XUV 300 - Interior
The interior of the Mahindra XUV 3XO gets a major overhaul. The dashboard now gets a new 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit instead of a 7-inch unit in the XUV 300. The center AC vents also got changed as well as the HVAC control panel. The SUV now comes with a digital instrument cluster. The dashboard also gets soft-touch material and a new steering wheel borrowed from the XUV400.
Mahindra XUV 3XO Vs XUV 300 - Features
The new Mahindra XUV 3XO comes with a plethora of features which includes some segment-first features. The XUV 3XO now comes with a panoramic sunroof while the XUV 300 was fitted with a single-pane electric sunroof, dual-zone climate control is available in both the models. Also, the XUV 3XO gets a bigger touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, electric parking brake with auto hold, level 2 ADAS, 6-airbags as standard fitment, 360-degree camera, and 7-speaker Harmon Kardon music system among other features.
Mahindra XUV 3XO Vs XUV 300 - Engine
The Mahindra XUV 3XO comes with similar engine options as the XUV 300. It is available with three engine options.
It comes with a 1.2-litre TCMPFi turbo petrol engine which generates 110 bhp of power and 200 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual and an AT gearbox. Claimed fuel economy of this engine is 17.96 kmpl to 18.89 kmpl.
The other engine option is the 1.2-litre TGDi turbo petrol engine which produces 128 bhp and 230 Nm of peak torque. This also comes with a 6-speed manual and AT gearbox. The claimed economy of this engine is 18.2 kmpl to 20.1 kmpl.
The third engine is the 1.5-litre diesel engine which generates 115 bhp of power and 300 Nm of peak torque. This is mated to a 6-speed manual and an AMT unit. The diesel gives a claimed economy of 20.6 kmpl to 21.2 kmpl.
