Mahindra XUV400 Gets Safety And Convenience Boost: 8 New Features
Mahindra has re-entered the electric car market with the introduction of the XUV400, an electrified and larger version of its XUV300 ICE sub 4m SUV. During its launch, the XUV400 made a good impression, but some essential features were missing. However, based on valuable customer feedback, Mahindra has re-evaluated its choices and is now offering the previously absent features, making it a more competitive rival to the Tata Nexon EV Max, which also received feature upgrades recently.
Mahindra is equipping the XUV400 with ESP (Electronic Stability Program), HSA (Hill Start Assist), Auto-Dimming IRVM (Inside Rear View Mirror), TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System), two additional tweeters, front fog lamps, and a boot lamp. These additions aim to give the XUV400 an edge over the best-selling Tata Nexon EV.

Moreover, the ICE XUV300 model will also receive an exciting update a panoramic sunroof with the facelift, which could potentially find its way to the XUV400 in the future. Overall, Mahindra is actively listening to its customers and making necessary improvements to ensure the XUV400 is well-equipped and competitive in the ever-evolving electric car market.
Mahindra has decided to enhance its sales strategy for the XUV400 by introducing new features exclusively for the top-spec EL trim, available in both single-tone and dual-tone colour variants. While some of these features may eventually be extended to the base EC trim in the future, the focus is on boosting the appeal of the higher-end model.
Verdict
In the most recent quarter, Mahindra managed to sell 2,234 electric cars, while Tata Motors sold 5,072 units, indicating that the XUV400's sales are gradually increasing. To further fuel this popularity, Mahindra aims to outdo the Nexon EV Max in every possible way by introducing additional features and improvements.
