The new prices of the Mahindra XUV500 BS6 start from Rs 13.20 lakh for the base W5 trim. Yes, the W3 trim which was the base in BS4 model has now been discontinued. Without wasting any further ado, let's compare the prices of Mahindra XUV500 BS6 vs Tata Harrier vs MG Hector:

The MG Hector takes a dig with its rivals when it comes to pricing as it offers loads of features and latest technology. Mahindra XUV500 buckles up with the 7-seater option which comes in handy for many people. And the reliable 2.2-litre diesel engine too.
Tata Harrier is the most expensive of the lost and its prices start from Rs 13.69 lakh and go up till Rs 17.70 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. Also, the Harrier comes with only 2 years or 1 lakh km warranty period. One can also extend the warranty by paying Rs 25,960 and take the Pentacare package where it gets extended by 5 years with unlimited kilometres in the odometer.

The XUV500 is the least powerful of the lot with churning 153 bhp and but offers the highest, 360 Nm of torque. Coming to Harrier and Hector then they both use the same FCA sourced 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine which makes 168 bhp and 350 Nm of peak torque. MG Hector only offers a single 6-speed manual transmission across all trims whereas Harrier continues to offer a 6-speed auto as an optional gearbox too.
In other news, the prices of BS6 Scorpio are also out and starts at Rs 12.40 lakh and goes up to Rs 16 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi!
