Coming to the technical specs then this Alto k10 used to churn out 67 bhp at 6,700 rpm with a peak torque of 90 Nm at 3,500 rpm. This used to come with a 5-speed manual gearbox and an AMT too. Also, a CNG trim was available with this but with stick version only.

This hatchback was launched back in 2010 and garnered a good number of sales among cab aggregators and buyers on a budget. And in 2014, it came with a mild facelift with an increased number of features too. And just last year, Maruti added the additional safety features in the hatchback.

Maruti Alto k10 used to come with five colour options - Tango Orange, Granite Grey, Silky Silver, Solid White and Blazing Red. In other news, the discontinuation of Alto k10 could be also due to the Maruti S-Presso's success. The latter comes with new age and quirky design which is quite appealed by the audience. It's SUV stance and a wide amount of features like a large touchscreen infotainment system increased height and among others makes it a popular hatchback.

Maruti S-Presso crossed 9,000 sales in February 2020 making it the popular car among its segment. It is selling like hotcakes and has even beaten Renault Kwid in sales. It only comes in a sole 1.0L petrol engine but Maruti is also working on a CNG version for the same. The power figures will drop by 10% in CNG. Currently, the Maruti S-Presso prices start at Rs 3.69 lakh and go till Rs 4.91 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
