Celebrating 40 years anniversary, Maruti Suzuki is here with the Black Edition of its lineup under both Arena and Nexa outlets. After Celerio, WagonR, and the Alto K10. Now, Maruti Ertiga has now reached the dealerships in Paearl Midnight Black color. Before this edition, black color was not available in any Maruti Suzuki offering.

Maruti Ertiga Black Edition
What would be important thing to know is that the Black Edition is only available in high-spec trims- ZXi and the Zxi+. This is the case with other Arena models as well. The midnight black paint job on the WagonR retails at no extra cost like some other manufacturers.

It gets an all-black front with just a chrome strip and the brand logo in chrome. The side profile is completely blacked out, with a hint of red from the tail lamps. The alloys have chrome outlining, with black inserts, and complement the color theme. The rear houses sport the same design, with tall taillamps with a chrome strip and the brand logo in chrome as well.
Engine And Features Untouched
Ertiga comes equipped with a 1.5-liter K15C Smart Hybrid petrol engine which produces 102bhp and 136.8Nm of torque. The same engine also comes fitted with a CNG kit and it produces 87bhp and 121.5Nm of torque. The transmission option includes a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
VERDICT- Since time immemorial, The black color option has had its separate fanbase. Even though it demands extra pampering and wash care, it does stand out and imparts a definite character. With the launch of this new edition, Maruti Suzuki buyers will have the option to buy their rides in black. Plus, it retails at the same exact amount, which is a cherry on top.
