Mercedes-Benz India has launched the CLE Cabriolet at Rs 1.10 crore (ex-showroom). The new CLE Cabriolet will be available as a CBU import in the country. The convertible top CLE boasts some design cues from the C-Class but has its elements to make it look different. It replaces the E-Class Cabriolet and the C-Cabriolet in the Indian market. Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet
The CLE Cabriolet boasts a horizontal grille with 3D star patterns and a low-slung stance. It gets some design cues from the C-Class. The sleek LED DRLs and a long bonnet enhance its appeal. Moving to the side, it gets 19-inch AMG multi-spoke alloy wheels. The rear gets sleek wraparound LED tail lamps. The Cabriolet comes with a 2-door 4-seater configuration.
The CLE Cabriolet is available in 8 exterior and 3 interior colour options. Additionally, the customer can select two different colours for the soft top.
The interior of the CLE Cabriolet features a plethora of convenience and safety features. It gets an 11.9-inch tiltable portrait touchscreen infotainment display, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 17 speakers Burmester 710W music system, Dolby Atmos with Spatial audio, a wireless charging pad, multi-colored ambient lighting, a head-up display among other features. The safety net includes a 360-degree camera, blind-spot monitoring, first-ever center Airbag among other features.

Mercedes-Benz CLE Cabriolet Engine Specifications
The CLE Cabriolet comes with a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 258 PS of power and 400 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The brand has electronically limited the top speed to 250 km/hh. The CLE Cabriolet also gets a direct steering steer, AMG Sports suspension, and Mercedes Dynamic Select with 4Matic.
Verdict
The Cabriolet body style had dissappered from the Indian market but Mercedes-Benz is reviving this style back. The CLE Cabriolet will appeal to those interested in open-roof luxury sedans and to customers with unique tastes. It will compete with the BMW Z4.
