Mercedes-Benz India is all set to launch its all-electric EQA SUV on 8th July. The upcoming Mercedes-Benz EQA will be the entry-level EV for the Indian market. It will be the electrified version of the brand's GLA SUV. The EQA will be officially launched on 8th July and ahead of its official launch, the specifications and variant details of the upcoming EV have surfaced online. Mercedes-Benz EQA - Exterior, Interior, & Features
The exterior of the EQA boasts a closed glossy black grille with a silver star, a connected LED DRL, and LED headlamps. The side profile gets 19-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, the EV gets a connected LED tail lamp. The EV will be available in 8 colour options.
On the features front, the EV will boast a plethora of features. It will get power-adjustable front seats, two 10-inch screens one for the infotainment and one for the instrument cluster, a head-up display screen, a 12-speaker Burmester sound system, dual-zone climate control, and connected car features among others.
Mercedes-Benz EQA - Specifications
The upcoming EQA will be available in a single fully loaded variant in the Indian market. The EQA 250+ will be the sole variant available in India, this variant will feature a 70.5 kWh battery pack. This battery pack will give the EV a range of up to 560 km on a single charge. Internationally, the EV comes with a smaller 66.5 kWh battery pack option as well.
The EV will be available with a single-motor front axle-mounted motor which will generate 190 PS of power and 385 Nm of peak torque. If we talk about the charging time and support, the EV can be charged from 0-100% in approximately 11 hours with an 11 kW AC charger. It will also support 100kW DC charging which will charge the EV from 10-80% in 35 minutes.
Verdict
The upcoming Mercedes-Benz EQA will be the brand's entry-level EV for the Indian market. Mercedes-Benz currently holds the largest fleet of luxury electric vehicles in India. The EV is expected to be launched in the range of Rs 65 lakh to 70 lakh. The upcoming EQA will rival with other EVs in the same price band.
