Mercedes-Benz is evaluating the Indian market scenario to give a shot to its uber-luxurious and loaded with sumptuousness, the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4 Matic. Phew! long name but trust me, it indeed is the S-class of SUVs or just say the best SUV in the world. Its younger sibling, the GLS will be hitting our shores somewhere around June this year and Mercedes up the game further by also launching the Maybach GLS 600.
The Maybach is the answer to the brands like Rolls Royce and Bentley, the latest one added to the portfolio was the GLS 600 4 Matic and it might get launched in India. The GLS 600 is powered by a 4.0 litre Biturbo V8 petrol producing a colossal 558 bhp and 730 Nm of torque which is enough to shove it from nought to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds. To keep you away from the inherent turbo lag, Mercedes has also chucked in a 48V hybrid EQ-boost system to improve the overall driveability.

Don't drool over its size as Mercedes has made this just a 5 seater but if you want a bigger dose of luxury, then Mercedes has also given an option of a 4-seater with refrigeration in between. It comes with some amazing features like fully active air suspension with E-active body control, the latest Mercedes MBUX system and 23-inch alloy wheels. Once launched, it might give inferiority complex to the Bentley Bentayga and Range Rover SV Autobiography.
Although there is not a legit confirmation for its launch, looking at the success of Maybach portfolio in India, Mercedes shouldn't hesitate to give it a shot and enjoy its success. The Maybach iteration of the GLS will be brought as a CBU and will be priced at a premium. The standard GLS might get launched in the middle of 2020 but there is no clue for the launch of the Maybach GLS 600.
