Mercedes India Price Hike To Come Into Effect This New Year
Mercedes-Benz India has announced a price hike for its vehicles, effective from December 31, 2024. The price increase, attributed to rising material costs, inflationary pressures, and increased operational costs, will impact models like the GLC SUV and Mercedes-Maybach S 680 V12. The GLC SUV will see a price increase of around Rs 2 lakh, while the Mercedes-Maybach S 680 V12 will see a price hike of up to Rs 9 lakh. However, how uniform this price hike will be, and to what extent the prices will be affected across the range is still not clear.
However, you are still not required to pay the new price if you book your vehicle before December 31, 2024. Also the vehicles in stock by the year end will be eligible to continue with the same pricing. Mercedes-Benz India has stated that it has absorbed a significant portion of the increased costs and is passing on only a nominal amount to customers. The brand is the first to announce a price hike for the upcoming year, and it is anticipated that other luxury carmakers may follow suit.
