MG Astor: Price Surge Details
The price of the Astor has gone up by Rs 20,000. This affects specific variants: Sharp Pro 1.5 CVT Ivory, Sharp Pro 1.5 MT Ivory, Savvy Pro 1.5 CVT Ivory, and Savvy Pro 1.5 CVT Sangria. Interestingly, all these variants face the same price increase. However, customers can find relief in knowing that the base variant, Sprint 1.3 MT Ivory, priced at Rs. 9.98 lakh, and the top variant, Savvy Pro 1.5 6AT Sangria, priced at Rs. 17.90 lakh, remain unaffected by this increase.
MG Astor: Engine And Rivals
The MG Astor comes with two engine options. Firstly, there's a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine that generates 140 PS power and 220 Nm torque. This engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. Secondly, there's a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing 110 PS power and 144 Nm torque. This engine offers the choice between a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT.
It competes with rivals including the Hyundai Creta, Citroen C3 Aircross, Skoda Kushaq, Toyota Hyryder, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun, and Maruti Grand Vitara.
