MG Cars Price Hike From January 2025

JSW MG Motor India has announced a price increase across its entire model lineup, effective January 1, 2025, and the price adjustment, attributed to rising input costs and external factors, will see an increase of up to 3 percent across the model range. MG Motor currently offers seven models in India, including the Comet EV, Astor, Windsor EV, Hector, Hector Plus, ZS EV, and the Gloster. However, its latest offering, the MG Windsor EV has been introduced with a new BaaS program which is the battery as a service plan where the upfront cost has been reduced which is generally higher for EVs.

"Our dedication to quality, innovation, and sustainability remains a priority and drives us to improve our offerings continuously. In doing so, minor price adjustments are inevitable to offset the rising input costs. While we try to minimize its impact on our customers, a marginal price increase shields us from inflationary challenges." said Mr. Satinder Bajwa Singh, Chief Commercial Officer, JSW MG Motor India Pvt Ltd.

MG Cyberster Launch In January 2025

MG Motor India is set to launch the highly anticipated Cyberster electric roadster in India in January 2025. This exclusive model will mark the debut of MG's new MG Select sub-brand, dedicated to premium offerings. The Cyberster, featuring rear-wheel drive and optional all-wheel drive, will likely make its Indian debut at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Expo. The rear-wheel-drive 'Trophy' variant boasts a single electric motor producing 335 hp and 475 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 kph in 5 seconds and achieving a top speed of 194 kph. With a 77 kWh battery pack, it offers a WLTP-claimed range of 508 km. The all-wheel-drive 'GT' variant, equipped with two electric motors for a combined output of 502 hp and 725 Nm of torque, delivers a 0-100 kph sprint in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 201 kph. However, the GT variant's performance comes at the expense of range, with a WLTP-claimed range of 444 km.
