MG Comet EV Interior Teased, Launch In Coming Weeks

The Comet EV, another electric vehicle from MG Motor India, is about to be launched in the Indian market. The brand has teased the interior of the upcoming Comet EV ahead of its anticipated arrival in the coming weeks. Based on the Wuling Air EV, which is offered on the global market, the Comet EV resembles a similar appearance. In the brand's portfolio of electric vehicles, the two-door EV from MG will be placed below the ZS EV.

MG Comet EV Teaser

The upcoming EV's steering wheel is shown in the most recent teaser. The steering wheel has numerous controls and some cool-looking buttons.  The new teaser also shows a sizable infotainment screen, which gives the interior of the EV a modern feel. According to the brand, the upcomingEV will be loaded with features and all the latest technological tech. The upcoming EV will combine modern technology with striking styling.

The front end of the Comet EV is adorned by a dual-barrel LED headlight and an LED strip that flushes out to the side. The brand has already shown the five different colour options of the upcoming EV which includes Blue, Green, Yellow, White, and Pink colour options.

MG Comet EV Powertrain

The MG Comet is expected to have a 2025 kWh battery, giving it a range of 150200 kilometres on a single charge. It is planned to use a single, front-axle motor with a power output of approximately 50kW. The manufacturer might choose to use compact LFP batteries, which will increase the lifespan of the battery and motor. On the international market, it is offered with two different battery sizes: a 17.3 kWh unit with a 200 km claimed range, and a 26.7 kWh unit with a 300 km stated range.

Verdict: It's possible that the Comet EV's size and appearance will have a big impact on how appealing it is to buyers. The upcoming EV's success, however, will also be greatly influenced by its pricing strategy. We expect the comet EV to be prices in the range of Rs 10-12 lakh (ex-showroom).
