Update- As per the latest hearings, MG might delay the launch of the Hector Plus SUV due to the all India lockdown for the next 21 days. We still expect the launch of the MG Hector Plus in 2020 itself as the road testing was begun.

Mg Motor is on full boost with its product range. First, they came up with the Hector, next came the ZS EV and now the Hector Plus has been unveiled It offers captain seats for the middle row and It will compete with upcoming Tata Gravitas and Next-gen Mahindra XUV500 in the market.
MG Hector Plus share its features and engine options with the Hector but MG has made some exterior and interior changes to make it more appealing. Talking about the exteriors first, The grille is gloss black with chrome inserts and the lights don't have the chrome strip which we saw in the Hector. The LED DRLs now gets a specific pattern which looks cool while the main headlight unit has been placed on the bumper, again with some changes. The side profile looks the same as of the Hector but the length has been increased by 40 mm librating more space inside for the last row.
The rear profile now looks better than the Hector thanks to the absence of the reflector we saw in Hector connecting both the headlights. It now looks neat and beefier than before. The taillights also have become slimmer with a new pattern for the LED and indicators.

Moving on to the interior although those were hidden at the unveiling, gets oak brown upholstery and same oak brown leather on the dashboard too. Hector plus continues to come with the inverted dials for the driver's display. It continues to boast with all the features we saw in the Hector like the 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, huge panoramic sunroof and an updated version of MG Ismart connected car technology. It gets two captain seats in the middle row and seating for two at the back.

Hector Plus comes with the same 1.5-litre turbo petrol and 2.0-litre diesel and both engines are BS6 compliant. The 1.5-litre petrol engine produces 143 Ps and 250 Nm of torque whereas the diesel churns out 170 Ps and 350 Nm of torque. The Petrol engine also comes with a 48V battery back for torque assist in some variants while the non-hybrid version has also been offered with 7-speed DCT.
