In a fresh round of hikes, MG Hector price has been hiked by up to Rs. 40,000 in November 2023. While this is a regular practice by all manufacturers, the price list of the Hector is now revised. This comes after the price drop that we saw in September 2023. After all this, the ex-showroom price now starts at Rs. 15 lakhs.

Prices across various variants of the car model have been increased. Notable hikes include Rs. 27,000 for the Style Petrol, Rs. 31,000 for the Shine Petrol, and Rs. 35,000 for both the Smart Petrol and Smart Pro Petrol. Similarly, the Sharp Pro Petrol and Savvy Pro Petrol see a Rs. 35,000 increase, while the Shine Diesel gets a bump of Rs. 31,000. The Smart Diesel witnesses a Rs. 30,000 hike, while both the Smart Pro Diesel and Sharp Pro Diesel incur a Rs. 40,000 increase in prices.
It is interesting to note that the price of the Hector was first decreased in September which was kept the same until now.
Features
The 2023 MG Hector boasts a feature-rich interior, highlighted by a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, internet connectivity, and seamless integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The horizontal screen also serves as the control center for air conditioning, offering a user-friendly and integrated experience. The vehicle is equipped with a Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite, enhancing safety measures. Safety features include four-wheel disc brakes, ABS with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), the possibility of up to six airbags, and various other crucial safety components, ensuring a comprehensive approach to passenger safety.
2023 MG Hector: Under The Hood
The MG Hector offers a choice between two robust engines. The 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine produces 141 bhp and 250 Nm of torque, while the 2.0-liter diesel engine delivers an impressive 168 bhp and 350 Nm of torque. Both engine variants are paired with a dependable 6-speed manual transmission. If you opt for the turbo-petrol engine and prefer an automatic transmission, MG also provides a CVT option.
Verdict
While price hike is a usual practise by various automakers, there is nothing different with this one.
