JSW MG Motor India launched the Windsor EV in September 2024 and this model gradually turned the EV game in favour of the MG. The automaker introduced the Battery as a Service (BaaS) with the premium EV, making it more affordable for buyers. The Windsor EV is one of the most successful products launched by MG in India. MG seems to have snatched a considerable proportion of Tata's market as buyers are now looking towards Windsor EV as a better option against the Nexon EV and Punch EV. MG Windsor EV - 3,100 Units Sold in November
The Windsor EV was the most selling model of the brand in November. A total of over 3,100 units of the EV were sold last month. With 1,106 units sold, the second position was grabbed by the MG Hector in the same month. With such awesome sales figures, the Windsor EV has already given a run to the Mahindra XUV400, MG ZS EV and Citroen eC3.
Powertrain
The Windsor is powered by a 38 kWh battery pack which comes paired with a single electric motor. The powertrain setup makes 136 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque. The electric crossover provides a maximum range of 332 km on a single charge. Additionally, the Windsor EV supports DC fast charging which juices up the battery pack in 55 minutes.
Features and Safety
This premium EV takes the game ahead of its segment when it comes to features. Its features include a large 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an 8.8-inch digital driver's display. Other features on offer with the EV are automatic AC, a powered driver seat, wireless phone charging, powered tailgate and a panoramic glass roof.
On the safety front, the Windsor EV gets 6 airbags, electronic stability control, a 360-degree camera and a tyre pressure monitoring system. The model hasn't been tested by GNCAP, but it is expected to get a 5-star safety rating.
