BMW India has finally launched the all-new Mini Countryman E and Cooper S in India At 54.90 lakh and 44.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The German carmaker also launched the BMW CE-04, and BMW 5 Series LWB in the same event. Notably, it is the first time BMW has launched the electric version of the Countryman in India. The India-spec Countryman E has been positioned in the luxury SUV segment and offers some of the best-in-class features. Mini Countryman E
Powertrain
The 2025 Mini Countryman E comes powered by a single motor that generates 201 bhp of power and 250 Nm of torque. The electric SUV has impressive acceleration which enables it to sprint from 0 to 100 in just 8.6 seconds. The brand has not launched the more potent Countryman SE ALL4 in India, which is available internationally. The India-spec Countryman returns a driving range of 433 km on a single charge.
Design
The all-new Countryman E gets a new look with a bold grille and new LED headlights with DRLs. The E-SUV is now larger in dimension. Notably, the new model derives most of its design elements from the previous gen Countryman E, which was available globally.
Interior
Inside the cabin, the all-new Countryman E features all-new interiors. Also, there's a Heads-Up display. The model continues to come with toggle switches for crucial controls. Other features of the SUV include ADAS Level 2, an adjustable driver seat with a massage feature and MINI Connected tech, a fish-eye in-car camera.
MINI Cooper S
Interior
Inside the cabin, the Mini Cooper S features a 9.4-inch infotainment screen which also works as a driver's display. There's also a heads-up display placed on the dashboard, right ahead of the steering. Apart from this, it gets toggle switches and ambient lighting.
Design
The all-new Mini Cooper also gets an updated grille and refreshed LED headlamps with 3 customisable LED DRL signatures. The new Cooper S seems inspired by its predecessor because it carries the same flatter surfaces we saw on the previous model. At the rear, it gets refreshed Union Jack-themed tail lights.
Engine
The all-new Cooper S comes powered by a 2.0-litre turbo petrol that churns out 201 bhp of power and 300 Nm of torque, which is an impressive increase over the previous model. Talking about the acceleration, it sprints from 0-100 kmph in just 6.6 seconds. For the transmission duties, there is a sole option of 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
2025 Mini Countryman and Cooper S Price
The new Mini Countryman E has been launched with a starting price tag of Rs. 54.90 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, the Cooper S starts at 44.9 lakh (ex-showroom). However, both the models have no straight rivals in India, but they will compete with the already available electric SUVs in India like the Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5.
