As the year 2022 is coming to an end, we have seen a lot of prominent two-wheeler launches throughout the year. The Indian two-wheeler market is an evergreen playground for manufacturers. All thanks to a very large market share, the brands are always striving to bring something new to the table. The year 2023 will be no different and we can expect some of the most anticipated bike launches next year, which were due for a long time. So we have compiled a comprehensive list of the most anticipated upcoming bikes in 2023 coupled with all the necessary details.

Upcoming Bikes in 2023: Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650
Royal Enfield will be the first two-wheeler manufacturer to pull off a launch right at the start of the year 2023. After unveiling the Super Meteor 650 at Rider Mania 2022, the Indian two-wheeler manufacturer will likely launch the laid-back cruiser on 10th January 2023. It will be the third 650cc motorcycle in the brand's line-up and will use the familiar 648cc Parallel-twin 4-stroke SOHC air-oil cooled engine putting out 47 bhp and 52.3 Nm of peak torque. The expected price of the cruiser will be around Rs. 3.5 lakh (ex-showroom) bracket.
Upcoming Bikes in 2023: Royal Enfield Scram 650
Exclusively spotted testing by 91Wheels, the clearest spy images of the scrambler-styled motorcycle revealed the production-ready version of the upcoming Scram 650. It uses the same frame as well as familiar body styling from the current 650 twins, however, some scram-specific changes have been made to the package. LED headlight, spoke rims shod with dual-purpose tyres, USD forks, and single pod offset instrument cluster are some of its special elements. The power unit will be the familiar 648cc Parallel-twin 4-stroke SOHC air-oil cooled engine putting out 47 bhp and 52.3 Nm of peak torque. It will likely be launched within the first half of 2023 with the price ranging around Rs. 3-3.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
Upcoming Bikes in 2023: Royal Enfield Bullet 350
Royal Enfield is set to update its most popular nameplate, the Bullet 350. Sporting somewhat similar styling to the current gen model, it will take some new design cues from the Classic 350. The major change will be in the engine department where the older UCE engine will be replaced by an all-new J-Series unit, which will be a direct lift-off from the Meteor and Classic 350. The power output will stand at 20.4 bhp and 27 Nm of peak torque. It will be positioned between the Hunter 350 and Classic 350 and is expected to debut sometime in 2023.

Upcoming Bikes in 2023: Hero XPulse 400
Taking its adventure game forward, Hero Motocorp is preparing to bring the higher-capacity Xpulse 400 to the Indian market. The fully camouflaged test mule of the two-wheeler was spied doing test runs in Ladakh. It will use a single-cylinder 421cc engine putting out 40 bhp and 35 Nm of peak torque. The launch of the motorcycle is slated for the second half of 2023.
Upcoming Bikes in 2023: New-Gen KTM Duke Series
KTM is currently preparing to update its Duke and Adventure line-up in India as well as globally. Several spy images of the new-gen Duke have surfaced online, thereby sparking the news of its launch by the first half of 2023. The new-gen Duke series will get an updated chassis with an offset rear mono-shock. It is likely that all the models of the Duke series i.e. Duke 125, 200, 250 and 390 will be a part of this update. The lower-capacity ones could get a TFT instrument cluster along with LED headlamps, while the 390 could get a new engine, as suggested by some media reports. Apart from this, there will be several changes to the body styling, features as well as equipment on offer.
Upcoming Bikes in 2023: Bajaj Triumph 350cc Motorcycle
Spotted for the first time in India around the end of September 2022, the 350cc scrambler is co-developed by Baja Auto India and Triumph Motorcycles UK. The bike looks production ready in spy images and is expected to debut in the first half of 2023. It will likely be priced in the range of Rs. 3 to 4 lakh (ex-showroom), with a power output of around 30 to 40 bhp using its single-cylinder liquid-cooled 350-400cc engine.
Apart from these aforementioned models, there are a lot of other upcoming bikes which are expected to debut in India. Some of the prominent names include the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, New-Gen KTM Adventure Series, Hero Xtreme 160R Carbon Edition, Ducati DesertX and Diavel V4 and Triumph Street Triple 765 amongst others.
Verdict: There are a lot of new nameplates which are slated to be introduced in the year 2023. Some altogether new products while the well-established models are getting major updates. That being said, these highly anticipated upcoming bikes seem to have a lot of potential. One important point to note here is that most of these models are targeted towards the mid-size bike segment.
