Mahindra BE 05 Details
The BE 05 as seen without any protective covers is finished in a grey metallic and looks 99 percent similar to what the company showcased in 2022. This vehicle reatins its C-shape LED DRLs, that is the main characteristic of BE 05. To open the gates, Mahindra has given flush door handles and the wheel arcs are huge, plus the size of those fully covered wheel covers feel like they're of 20 inches. From the photos, this car looks massive, and with an overall sharp design, this will definatlely turn heads when it makes an entry on Indian roads.
Talking about the rear profile, the C-shaped LED DRLs continue, and the rear bumper features a glossy black finish complemented by chrome accents. Additionally, the rear diffusers contribute to a sporty statement.
Lastly, the interior remains the same as showcased earlier, featuring a two-spoke steering wheel with a BE (Born Electric) nameplate and two screens for the driver and infotainment.
Battery Pack And Range
Regarding the battery pack, reports suggest it will come with a 60 kWh option and a 70 kWh long-range variant, with an expected range of around 450 km. Specifications reveal it will deliver 230 hp and 380 Nm of torque, as announced by Mahindra in August 2023.
Talking about the price, the BE 05 will start at approximately Rs 20 lakh ex-showroom, with the top trim costing Rs 25 lakh. An AWD setup is also expected.
Mahindra XUV.e9
The next launch after the BE 05 will be the XUV.e9, the electric version of the XUV700, which features a coupe body style and is based on Mahindra's homegrown Inlow architecture. The best part about the XUV.e9 is that it doesnt feel futuristic like the BE 05; instead, it appears as a refined version of the XUV700. This design is likely to be more readily accepted by families and older customers compared to the BE 05. It closely resembles what we saw in the concept video of this vehicle.
