Missing ADAS Features
First and one of the major differences between the India-spec and global-spec Swift is that there is no Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) suite on offer with the new India-spec Swift. In comparison, the global spec Swift comes with a radar-based ADAS suite that offers features like collision mitigation, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and others. On the India specs models, no above-mentioned feature is on offer by the company.
India Spec Swift Has More Paint Options
The India spec Swift comes with a wider colour palette when compared to the globally available Swift. The 2024 Swift is available in 6 single-tone and. 3 dual-tone colour schemes. The single-tone options include- Pearl arctic white, Sizzling Red, Luster Blue, Novel Orange, Magma Grey, and Splendid Silver. The dual-tone colour includes options such as Sizzling Red with Midnight black roof, Luster Blue with Midnight Black Roof and Pearl Arctic White with Midnight Black Roof.
In comparison, the international spec Swift colour options include- Premium Silver Metallic, Super Black Pearl, Pure White Pearl, Burning Red Metallic, Mineral Grey Metallic, Blue Pearl with Black Roof and Flame Orange.
Missing Hybrid Powertrain
The fourth-generation Swift is available with a hybrid setup in the international market. The hybrid powertrain on offer comes equipped with a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder engine paired with a 12V electric motor and a battery pack. In comparison, there is no hybrid powertrain on offer with the India spec models which is a big miss.
India Spec Swift is Less Equipped
The India spec Swift is less equipped when compared to the international spec model. The hatchback has more features than the previous generation model which include a new 9-inch infotainment system, six airbags (standard) and a wireless phone charger. It lacks features such as heated ORVMs and heated front seats. There's also a visible difference in the colour them as the global spec model also gets dual-tone black with white interiors and the India spec models come with an all-black theme with silver accents.
Transmission Options
The global spec Swift gets transmission options of a five-speed manual and five-speed CVT automatic with a paddle shifter. On the other hand, the India-spec models get only five-speed manual and five-speed AGS (AMT) options which is also a great miss if considered in terms of driving experience.

Verdict
The 2024 Swift's launch in India brings impressive upgrades but falls short in global parity. While boasting enhanced features like a new engine and infotainment system, the absence of ADAS, hybrid options, and premium interior features like heated seats highlight a significant disparity. Overall, a commendable model in its segment but with notable missed features.
