Jeep Compass EV - 700 Km of Range
Unveiled last year, the new STLA Medium architecture will house the next-gen Compass. This new platform has been solely designed to shape up electric models around it. However, Jeep has tailor-made the chassis in such a way that it'll also get petrol and diesel iterations on it. Moreover, this platform will offer two-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive options as well. As per online reports, this new platform can get a battery of up to 98 kWh. As per the claims from the company, this new platform will be offered with different battery packs. The standard pack can get a maximum range of up to 500 km (WLTP), while a bigger pack can maximize this up to 70 km (WLTP).
Additionally, this new platform is rumoured to be very efficient. In fact, it will consume only 14 kWh per 100km. Thus, range anxiety will be well handled with this architecture. Speaking on the new-gen Compass, it'll also get brand new turbo-petrol and turbo-diesel engine options. The power figures and other specs of these new engines are yet unknown. Jeep has plans to introduce the new-gen Compass by 2026. Once showcased globally, this new model will also land in the Indian market. Expect the pricing of the Compass EV in the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6. We're also expecting a design overhaul along with new features and upgraded ADAS safety.
Verdict
